: Pity
Title: Pity
Author:
pixychelle
Characters: Draco, Luna
Genre: Gen (very brief hint of Neville/Luna)
Word Count: 1300
Summary: During her confinement, Luna has a visitor.
Disclaimer: I make no claims of owning these characters and am using them for non-profit purposes.
Author's notes: This is a "missing scene" from "The Scribbling Lark and the Blackthorn Tree," or more accurately, part of the first section from Luna's PoV. I have given up on figuring out exactly how the Protean Charm works, since the answer seems to be "however JKR wanted it to at that particular moment." However, if you had an issue with the timing in the first scene of story, this missing scene may enlighten you.
It stands alone as a ficlet, so no need to read "The Scribbling Lark and the Blackthorn Tree" to read this one. It's also one of the few skeletal threads that remain from the original dark!fic bunny, but isn't particularly dark, I don't think. Neither is it happiness and joy by any means.
Thanks to
senjy for the quick read-through!
